It's done.
That's it. I did it. I gave my notice of resignation to my boss(es) today.

Does anyone have a lead on a job offer for me? :)

LoL! Thanks! I'm not sure we should celebrate. Unlike the last time I did this, this time I don't actually have another job offer lined up.

Oh well. We'll see how things pan out. We should celebrate once I've got something else nailed.

Thanks! Please do! I am getting job opportunity queries left and right but many of them are not really what I want to do.

Currently, I'm trying to find something in a web development field. I'm sick of IT and operations-related employment unless it's for a company who really understands what a work/life balance is and who is committed to training me or otherwise helping facilitate my learning.

I'm currently pursuing about 4 different PHP or front-end development jobs, but that doesn't mean I can't research more. So...the number 1 thing is environment. If I'm expected to come in wearing a these kinds of clothes I was told to wear at my current employer every day you can bet I'm not going to stick around.

Don't be embarrassed; just until a few weeks ago I had a 9-month old email waiting for a reply in my inbox, too.

I did say that I did it, in the second sentence. Also, I have been looking for additional work for almost two weeks already, and I've followed up on more than 8 different leads already. I've gotten well over 20 notifications of job opportunities already and I have the contact information of over 15 technical recruiters that I've interacted with over the past few months, so I'm sure to find something...I just want to find something I will like to do.

Yes, the decision to quit is already making me happy. I'm typically really good about things like this. I'm still sort of pissed off that I can't seem to find a job I really like, though.
